Clinton Ray Franks, 79, and Dorothy Franks (nee Campesi), 79, of Chester, NJ passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 and Tuesday, December 4, 2012 respectively. They had lived in Chester, NJ since 1970 and were previously of Parsippany and Lodi, NJ. Clint grew up in Grindstone, Pa. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1953. He was a retired quality control inspector for Conrac/Smiths Industries in Florham Park, NJ and worked on several projects involved with the space shuttle. Clint always enjoyed telling jokes, laughing and playing with his "grand cats", Dahlia, Stormy and especially Dizzy. Overall, Clint loved animals and loved spending his time with them.

Dorothy grew up in Saddle Brook, NJ. She was a retired reports manager for AT&T in Bedminster, NJ. She enjoyed computers and was ahead of her time in learning about them. She took college courses in computer programming before there even was an internet. She also loved animals and was a member of the American Boxer Club.

Dorothy and Clint enjoyed traveling to Aruba together on vacation every year and were always in each others' company. They lived together as they died together.

Clint predeceased Dorothy by nine hours. He passed away at her side. They are survived by their daughter, Sharon Buck, and her husband, Robert, of Chester, NJ. Preceding Clint's death were nine brothers and sisters.

A celebration of Clint and Dorothy's life and love will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Their interment will be private.
