Elizabeth F. (nee: Roberts) DiBernard of Netcong passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover urrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Born in Sparta, she was raised with her three sisters and five brothers by the late William and Josephine (nee: Winters) Roberts. She lived in Ogdensburg before moving to Netcong 70 years ago. Known to her family and friends as Nanny "D", Elizabeth was a member of the Newton Country Club and the West Palm Beach Country Club. An athletic woman, she was an avid golfer who also enjoyed playing bridge, cooking, crocheting, knitting, painting and doing crossword puzzles.

A homemaker, Lee retired from Picatinny Arsenal in 1943, where she met and married her late husband Frank. She and her husband owned Club 23 which was located in Netcong.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband Frank; two son-in-laws: James Reilly and Anthony Contessa and a grandson: Dion Amendola.

Survivors include her children and their spouses: Ann and Gerald Cetrulo, Susan and Dennis Malady, Fritzi and Jack Smith, Betty Contessa, Jodi and Jim D'Olivo, Mary Lou and Tom Amendola, Peggy and Al Ciampaglio, Jackie Reilly, Todd and Maryellen DiBernard, Bill DiBernard and Tony and Anne Marie DiBernard. Also survived by 28 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday October 10 at 9:30AM at St. Michael's RC Church, Netcong. All are invited to meet directly at church.

Interment: Stanhope Union Cemetery, Mt. Olive Twp.

Elizabeth's Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday October 9 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Netcong Fire Station #2, 49 College Road, Netcong, NJ 07857 or to the Stanhope-Netcong American Legion Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 167, Stanhope, NJ 07874.
