formerly of Mountain Lakes

Jane S. Clark, formerly of Mountain Lakes, NJ passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Mandrin Inpatient Care Center in Harwood, MD following a brief illness. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Doherty. After retiring to Annapolis, MD in 1985, Jane worked as a salesperson at Sign of the Whale and Evergreen Antiques. In her later years, she loved volunteering at Anne Arundel Medical Center, Chesapeake Treasures and the local library. When living in Mountain Lakes, she was a member of the Community Church and the Garden Club.

She is survived by her three daughters and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchild: Diane Manson of Westlake Village, CA and children Chrissie and Doug; Linda Buckley and husband Bob and children Jennifer and husband Scott Gassen and their daughter Parker and Jaime and husband John MacDonell; Sally Ann Ratigan of Lake Hiawatha NJ and husband Kenneth and son Donald; and her granddaughter MacKensie Lintz of Vancouver, BC. She is also survived by her brother, William Doherty of Mount Juliet, TN and his children. Jane is pre-deceased by her son, William Lewis Marple in 1946; her husband, Lewis Marple in 1955; her husband, Donald Clark in 1994; and her daughter, Joann Marple Lintz in 2009.

There will be a visitation from 2-4 on Thursday, March 21 at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Avenue, Annapolis. A private service and burial will be held at Ivy Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA on Friday, March 22.
