Louise Velotta died on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at St. Clare's Hospital/Denville. She was 101. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived there before moving to Rockaway 30 years ago. Mrs. Velotta was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took pride in caring for her family. She previously worked as a bank teller for East New York Savings Bank in New York, and at the Rockaway Borough Public Schools as a cafeteria food server. She was a parishioner of St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church in Rockaway Twp. She was a member of the St. Cecilia's Seniors and the Sunshine Club of Pleasant View Village.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert, in 1966.

She is survived by two sons, Louis Velotta of Boca Raton, FL, and Vincent Velotta, and his wife Marguerite, of Gainesville, VA; her daughter, Rosalie Marmara, and her husband Robert, of Rockaway; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4 at 9:15 a.m. from the Whitham - Kanapaux Funeral Home, 20 Keller Ave, Rockaway to a funeral Mass celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. at St. Clement Pope & Martyr Church, 154 Mt. Pleasant Ave, Dover, NJ 07801. Interment will follow at Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
