RICHARD BARTEK AGE: 59 WHARTON Richard "Dickie" Bartek, 59, of Wharton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at home. Born in Dover, he was a lifelong resident of Wharton. Dickie graduated from Morris Hills High School in Rockaway, N.J. in 1968; this was an especially nice accomplishment because he was disabled, but he made it. He worked for many years with his Dad in the family Maintenance Business. He was a long time member of Saint Mary's Church in Wharton. He will forever be remembered as a gentle, kind man who loved animals especially his miniature Doberman pinschers, the (rats). He was personable and talkative, liked to play the piano and joke around. One of his favorite things in life was telling Bartek Family stories. Richard was predeceased by his father, Charles Bartek. Richard is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Bartek of Wharton; two brothers, Robert, who resides at Forest Manor Health Care Center in Hope, NJ, and Donald with his wife Lorraine from Chester, NJ. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the viewing at Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main Street, Wharton on Friday, May 14th from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 15th at 10am at Saint Mary's Church, 425 W. Blackwell St., Dover. Interment will follow at St. Cecilia Cemetery in Rockaway, N.J.
