VIVIAN E. BERG AGE: 81 DOVER Vivian E. Berg died peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Regency Grande Nursing Center, Dover. She was 81. Born in Wharton, Vivian was a lifelong resident of Dover. While raising her children, she was a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout den mother, and member of the PTA where her children attended school. She loved to attend school and sporting events in support of her children and grandchildren. Vivian was an active member of the First Memorial Presbyterian Church of Dover, having held the position of Elder and Deacon. Her love of music led her to be a member of the church choir, as well as playing the church tower bells on Sunday mornings and special occasions. Vivian established the library at the Academy Street School in Dover and worked there for several years. She worked at the library of the County College of Morris. She was a founding member of the Dover Historical Society, having held the position of President for several years, beginning the monthly newsletter, and establishing the Dover Historical Society Museum. Vivian was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond R. Berg; her parents, C. Arling Endahl and Myrtle E. Endahl of Dover; and her brother, Charles A. Endahl of Morris Plains. Her survivors include her daughters, Karin Stracco and her husband Joseph of Albrightsville, PA, and Kathryn Still and her husband Robert of Netcong; her sons, Richard and his wife Donna of Maryville, TN, Alan and his wife Linda of Acworth, GA, Eric and his wife Lisa, Glen and his wife Judith, both of Dover, and Bryan and his wife Alyson of Randolph; her sister, Margaret Swartz and her husband Norman of Byram Twp.; 16 loving grandchildren; 11 loving great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday (today) 4-8 PM at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St. Wharton. Memorial Service will be held Saturday 11 AM at the First Memorial Presbyterian Church, 51 W.
