Andrew Steve Susko, 91, died peacefully Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Morris View HealthCare Center, Morris Plains, NJ. He was born in Pierce Tucker, West Virginia; he lived in Mt. Arlington, NJ for the past 56 years.

Andrew was pre-deceased by his wife Winifred Susko and his daughter Winifred Jones. He is survived by his two daughters: Nancy Lee Toohey and Kathleen Polise; his son Robert Susko; twelve grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

Andrew served in the United States Army during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge in 1945. In 1987, he retired from Freunds Appliance Center. Andrew served on the Town Counsel for the Borough of Mt. Arlington from 1993 -1998; he was Counsel President in 1995 & 1997. He was a long time active member of the Roxbury Rotary Club and a Charter Member of the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge, # 782.

Andrew will be remembered fondly for his devotion to his wife, the love for his family, and his passion for candy, Tuesday night card games, and chipping golf balls in his backyard. Visitation will be 5-7 PM with a Memorial Service at 7 PM on Wednesday, April 3, at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ, 07950. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Hopatcong Elks Lodge, #782, 201 Howard Blvd, Mt. Arlington, NJ 07856.
