Rosario Scumaci Obituary
AGE: 84 • Morristown
Rosario Giovanni Scumaci of Morristown passed away at home on August 6, 2013 after a short illness. He was 84 years old. Born in Magisano, Italy, Mr. Scumaci lived in Middletown, NY, before moving to Morristown 27 years ago. Mr. Scumaci was a member of the Carpenter Local Union #279, before retiring in 1984. He was a member of St. Margaret's Church in Morristown.
Mr. Scumaci is survived by his loving wife, Maria Gesualdo Scumaci; his son Peter Scumaci of Morristown, NJ, and his daughter Maria Parisi and her husband Rosario of Mendham, NJ. He is also survived by his siblings, Antonio Scumaci of Buenos Aires, Argentina, Isabella and Rosario Catizone of Middletown, NY, and Teresa and Antonio Fotino of Middletown, NY; as well as his grandchildren, Saverio, Maria, Jon Ross, Luca, Rosario Giovanni, Pamela and Marcella; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Filomena Scumaci Levato of Catanzaro, Italy.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Scumaci will be held on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:30am at St. Margaret's Church, 6 Sussex Avenue, Morristown. Entombment will follow at Holy Rood Mausoleum, Morris Township. Visiting will be on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4-8pm at Burroughs, Kohr & Dangler Funeral Home, 106 Main Street, Madison. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Scumaci can be made to: American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be provided by the Funeral Home.
