Harold H. Becker

AGE: 94 • Whippany

Harold H. Becker passed away on Sunday, January 5th 2014 in Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clares Hospital in Denville. He was 94. Harold was born in Newark and grew up in Irvington.

He lived in Livingston before moving to Whippany in 1963. A Purple Heart recipient, Harold served in the United States Army during World War II from November 1, 1940 until being honorably discharged on October 3, 1945. During his time in the Army, he fought in the "D" Invasion and was wounded in Germany and Belgium. Harold was a milkman for Tuscan Dairy Farms in Union for 34 years before retiring in 1979. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Renee S. (1/25/2007), his son, Jeffrey (6/25/2002) and his brother, Donald. Survivors include his loving children: Robert and his wife, Kathi of Parsippany and Bonni Conway and her husband, Robert of Cedar Knolls; his best friends: Seymour and Rose Lemmerman; and his 4 treasured grandchildren: Rob, Rick, Jillane and Jamie.
