With his adoring wife at his side, Robert Edmund Sullivan, of West Hartford, CT, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. Son of Charles and Edith Sullivan, beloved younger brother of Charles Sullivan, Madeline Conley O'Donnell, and Ina Amy, Bob was born in Brooklyn, on September 14, 1931, and grew up in Bellerose, N.Y. He graduated Sewanhaka High School, in Floral Park, NY, in 1949, and Georgetown University, in 1953. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, Bob spent a career in the printing business in New York City, working for Montrose and Clarke, and later running his own shop, Tripler Press. He also worked for Sorg, Tanagraphics, and Madison Printing, in Madison, N.J.

Bob leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Mary Liz Sullivan, as well as six children: Robert of Brooklyn, NY; Elizabeth of Seattle, WA; William of Suffield, CT.; Charles of West Hartford, CT; Madeline of Washington, DC; and Catherine of Portland, OR. He was a devoted grandfather and uncle who loved to get on the floor and play with children. Thirty-five year resident of Madison and Morristown, NJ, Bob's hobbies were histories, mysteries, gardening, antique clock repair, garage sales, and storytelling.

The Sullivan family will hold a 2:30 p.m. funeral mass on July 20, 2013 for extended family and friends at the Chapel of St. Mary Home, 2021 Albany Ave. West Hartford, CT.
