Aldo Remo Caputo

AGE: 90 • Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Aldo Remo Caputo, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, died on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 at the Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, he was 90 years old. Mr. Caputo was born in Italy and lived in Brooklyn, Puerto Rico and since 1963 lived in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Convent Station N.J. Mr. Caputo was in business partnership with his brother, Joseph from 1939 until Joseph's death in 2004. They were in the dress contracting business, owning as well as other businesses, J & AC in Brooklyn N.Y and Aga Fashions in Elizabeth N.J. All together he and his brother employed over 2000 people. He also developed, with his brother Joseph, over 5000 acres of land in the Poconos, including Holiday Poconos and Pocono Springs Estates. They also owned over 150 race horses over the course of their lifetime. Mr. Caputo was a co-owner of the Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park and was an avid golfer. He was also an avid deep sea fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (nee DiFuria); his children, Annette Caputo, Remo Caputo Esq., Joseph Caputo MD.; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Tuesday, September 3, 9am from the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main St., Madison with a funeral mass at 10am at St. Thomas More Church, Convent Station, N.J. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery Mausoleum, East Hanover. Visitation Sunday 2-5pm.
