Bernard T. McNamara

AGE: 51 • Oak Ridge

Bernard (Bernie) T. McNamara, 51, of Oak Ridge, passes away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 23, 2013. He was born in Paterson, NJ to the late Katherine (nee Hughes) and the late Bernard T. McNamara,Sr.

Bernie married June (nee Capter) in 1985 and together they raised their daughter Chelsea Kate in Oak Ridge, NJ.

Bernie worked for many years in the wood and tile flooring business most recently with Bayyurt Marble in Clifton, NJ. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church in Oak Ridge, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 5510. Bernie loved sports but especially enjoyed playing golf and relaxing with his dog Molly.

He was predeceased by his adored brothers Denis and Brian McNamara. Bernie leaves behind his beloved wife June of Oak Ridge, his cherished daughter Chelsea Kate, and his nieces Ariana Hastings, Sierra Martinez, and Shane Luikert.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 3-7 pm at the Stickle-Soltesz Funeral Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435 (GPS use 1 Post Place). The funeral mass will take place on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 10 am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07435. Final disposition will be private. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502, or to the , 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231-9986.
