Edward Hade Obituary
AGE: 86 • Netcong
Edward Walter Hade, Sr., 86, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at home surrounded by his family. He was born February 10, 1926 at 920 S. Wood Ave., Linden, NJ to the late John and Grace. After Ed graduated from Linden High School, Class of 1943, he enlisted in the US Navy during WWII serving on the repair ship, The USS Vulcan. He was employed by Airtron in Morris Plains for over 40 years as a government certified welder. Ed called Netcong his home for the past 51 years, moving from Edison where he lived for 12 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Barbara of 56 years, and brothers Milton, John and Thomas. He is survived by three sons, Edward Jr. of Succasunna, Robert of Denville and Richard of Stanhope; his daughter, Kathy Detweiler of Hampton; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10:00 a.m. at the Morgan Funeral Home, 31 Main St, Netcong. Interment will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, NY, NY 10018.
