AGE: 85 • Florham Park
James T. Mullen died on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 at Morristown Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was 85. Born in Passaic, NJ he grew up in Passaic and Clifton. He was a graduate of Clifton High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Jim served in the US Marine Corp form 1945 to 1946. In 1948 he married Nancy Schoeller, his high school sweetheart, and they moved to Florham Park, NJ in 1957 where they raised their family of seven children. Jim was a Sales Rep for American Standard Plumbing and Heating Division for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He was active in his church and coached little league for 15 years.
He is predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Vincent and Jerry and sisters, Isabella Mullen, Rosemary Rice and Helen Fraser. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; sons, Jim (Emily), Tim (Sheryl), Tom (Joni), Paul (Cathy) and daughters, Kathleen (Don) Davis, Maureen Fralley and Sheila (Michael) Mullen. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Andrea, Matt, Michael, Marissa, Allison, Eric, Dana, Jack, Colleen, Erin; 2 great-grandchildren, Owen and Katie and his sister, Eleanor Dericks and brother, John Mullen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, Morristown on Friday at 1:30PM. Hours of visitation at the Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, NJ on Thursday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jim's memory to the Florham Park Police Department or the Florham Park First Aide Squad, 111 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, NJ 07932.
