John "Jack" Barron Sr., of Hackettstown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at Andover Nursing Center. He was 87. Born in Bayonne, he moved to Wharton at the age of seven and lived in Mine Hill before moving to Succasunna in 1953 and to Hackettstown in 2001. Mr. Barron owned and operated B & B Radiator Repair in Wharton prior to his retirement in 1986. He had previously managed the Dover Bowling Lanes and Green Valley Bowling Lanes, Hackettstown. He also was a Bond Bread delivery man. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a parishioner of St. Therese's Church, Succasunna.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor A. (Kwiatkowski), in 2008. He is survived by a son, Jack and his wife Donna, with whom he lived; a daughter, Elinor Ann Czarnecki and her husband John of Andover Township; a sister, Agnes Miller of Rockaway; four grandchildren, John Barron and his wife Alison of Hackettstown, Allison Czarnecki of Harrison, Nan Czarnecki of Andover, and Jessica Conway and her husband Sean of Alpha; and four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Hailey and John Barron, all of Hackettstown, and Sean Patrick Conway Jr. of Alpha.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 at the Bermingham Funeral Home, 216 S. Main St., Wharton. A funeral service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14 from the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Therese's Church, Main St,. Succasunna. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, E. Hanover. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory to the charity of your choice will be appreciated. Offer condolences at
