AGE: 65 • Oak Ridge

Lucille P. Hirleman, 65, of Oak Ridge, NJ passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 20, 2013. She was born in Newark, NJ to Mary Helen (nee Capanna) and Anthony Pallitto. Lucille married Walter H. Hirleman in 1969 and together they raised their children in Oak Ridge, NJ. Lucille was a travel consultant and the owner for the last 25 years of her own business, Berkshire Travel, Inc. in Newfoundland, NJ. She is currently the President of the American Society of Travel Agents, ASTA representing New Jersey and the Hudson Valley Region in New York State. She has been a faithful parishioner and avid volunteer for over 30 years at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a Pre-CANA instructor. Lucille will best be remembered for her love of travel, especially Italy, the United Kingdom, and Hawaii. She also enjoyed to read and crochet.

Lucille is survived by her beloved husband Walter "Jack", her loving children Charles D. Hirleman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Stacey Hirleman Smith and her husband Dennis of Bel Air, MD, and Christa E. Hirleman of Arlington, VA., her cherished grandchildren Hailey Morgan Panas of Oak Ridge, and Madelyn Elizabeth Smith of Bel Air, MD, and her brother Anthony Joseph Pallitto.

A memorial mass will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438. The inurnment will take place following the church mass at St. Thomas Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
