Marilyn Grey Ferrie
Marilyn Grey Ferrie died unexpectedly on Friday, April 12, 2013 surrounded by friends and family. Born in Montclair, NJ, she was a longtime resident of New Vernon, NJ. She was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and a proud member of Tri Delta Sorority. She served as Executive Director of the Gladstone Equestrian Association and Show Manager of the 2001 Gala Event. She was a Whipper-In with the Spring Valley Hounds. Her volunteering efforts included the Bonnie Brae Polo Classic, the Far Hills Race Meeting Association and St. Hubert's. Ms. Ferrie also raised, trained and showed English Springer Spaniels and was seldom seen without a black & white by her side.
She is survived by her son, Todd C. Ferrie (Jennifer) of Chatham, NJ; daughter, Lora J. Ferrie (Charanjit Buttar) of New York City; sister, Kate Curley (Ed) of Punta Gorda, FL, and granddaughter, Cameron P. Ferrie who brought her great joy.
