Loved his family and had a passion for golf

Scott J. Russell, Sr., a long-time resident of Parsippany, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 13, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jerome, Idaho, Scott lived in Idaho and Colorado before serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict.

After his discharge, Scott attended Illinois Institute of Technology, where he earned a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1956. Upon graduation, Scott worked for Velsicol Chemical Company for several years, before joining Witco Chemical Corporation in 1961, where he worked until he retired in 1995.

Scott Sr. is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jacqualine T. (née Barzinski). He was the loving father of son Scott Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Potomac Falls, Virginia; daughter, Holly Lusardi, of Sparta, New Jersey; loving grandfather, affectionately known as Grampy, of Arielle, Kathryn, Marcella, Andrew, James, Margaret and Isabella. He is also survived by his sister, Fayesther Waegelin of Twin Falls, Idaho and brother, William of Las Vegas, Nevada. Arrangements are private.
