Thomas G. McCloughy died on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 71. Born in Morristown, he was a lifelong resident of Morris Plains, NJ. He was a graduate of Morristown High School, Class of 1959 and attended Rutgers University. Thomas was a Sergeant for the Morris Twp. Police Department, retiring in 2000 after 37 years of service to his community. He served in the US Army and Navy and was a member of the Emerald Society, the NRA, and was past President of the Morris Twp. PBA. Thomas was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Wendy and his loving children; Michele Doucette of Succasunna, Thomas and wife, Erin of Boonton, Kathleen Melly and husband, Kevin of Randolph, Edward Kristoff and wife, Lena of Randolph, and Patrick of Morris Plains. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren; Andrea, Nicole, Ryan, Johnny, Olivia, Sean, Tommy, Maya, Kira, Keegan, Shane, and Danann and his sister, Elizabeth Bryce and husband, David.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew's Church, Randolph, NJ on Monday at 11AM. Interment Private. Hours of visitation at the Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, NJ on Sunday from 1-3 & 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
