Rose Cardarella Terreri

Rose Cardarella Terreri entered into Eternal Life peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the age of 90. She was born in Morristown where she lived for 55 years before moving to Morris Township in 1975.

A 1941 graduate of Morristown High School, Rose worked for the Social Security Office in Morristown for several years. In 1951, she began working at Hooper Holmes as an accounting clerk. In 2001, Hooper Homes Inc. hosted a luncheon in Rose's honor to acknowledge her 50 years of dedicated service. She was a twenty-five year member of the Twenty-five Year Club and served as its President. She retired in 2004. For 66 years, Rose was the beloved wife of Thomas Terreri who predeceased her in 2012. She was the loving and devoted mother of Louisa Terreri Tierney, of Philadelphia, PA., and proud grandmother of Sean and his wife, Audrey, of Pittsburgh, PA., and Brian and his fiancee, Jess, of Oakland, CA. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Cardarella Vitale, of Madison, and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents Philip and Rosina (nee Bitondo) Cardarella, her sister, Lucy Cardarella Faccenda, and her son-in-law, Terence Tierney.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday, July 9, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and Thursday, 8:30 to 9:30 A.M. at Dangler Funeral Home, 600 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Virgil Roman Catholic Church, 250 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Rose's name to: The Seeing Eye, 10 Washington Valley Rd, Morristown, NJ 07960.
