Theodore G. Arnold

AGE: 91 • Formerly of Mt. Tabor

Theodore G. Arnold, a former long-time resident of Mt Tabor, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA after a short illness. He was 91. Born in Boonton, Mr. Arnold was a graduate of Boonton High School. During WWII, he served as an aerial reconnaissance photographer with the 668th Bombardment Squadron of the Ninth Air Force. In 1949, he married Helen Louise Hall of Morris Plains and moved to Mt Tabor. He graduated from the American Institute of Banking and for many years was employed by the former Boonton Trust Company. He retired as assistant vice president of Citizens Bank, Lincoln Park. As a resident of Mt.Tabor, Mr. Arnold served on the town's governing body. He was also active on the Board of Governors at Mt. Tabor Country Club, where he was a long-time member.

Mr. Arnold is survived by two his daughters, Patricia Lawless of West Springfield, MA and Cynthia Arnold of Agawam, MA; and his two grandchildren, Jenna Lawless of Texas and Sara Lawless of West Springfield, MA.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Arnold will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 10:00am in the Chapel of the Morristown Presbyterian Church on the Green, 57 East Park Place, Morristown. Interment is to follow at Rockaway Valley Cemetery, Boonton Township. Arrangements were under the care of Dangler Funeral Home, Morris Plains.
