Frank Palescandolo, 95, formerly of New York City and Scotrun, PA. passed away on Sunday, December 30th, 2012 at Heath Village, Hackettstown, NJ. He was born in New York City on February 25, 1917. A noted novelist, poet and playwright, he drew upon his vast experience as a leading criminologist, restaurateur and italophile.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Virginia Ferrara, Donna and husband B. John Coolbaugh, Irene and husband Frank Strafaci; grandchildren Virginia A. and Corinne Ferrara, Ariella C. Strafaci, and Benjamin J. Coolbaugh, and great grandson Brandon Velez.
Visitation will be will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, January 3, at William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road, Chester, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 4th at St. Luke Parish in Long Valley, NJ. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Queens, N.Y.
