Olga Mascuch, of Parma, Idaho, died peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, June 29, 2013. She was 89 years old. Born in Mahanoy City, PA, Mrs. Mascuch lived in Morristown, New Jersey for over 35 years before moving to Idaho in 2011 to live with her son and daughter-in-law. Mrs. Mascuch graduated from Hackensack High School in 1941. She married her husband, the late Richard Mascuch, in 1943. They were married for over 66 years, during which time they traveled together to more than 50 countries. Mrs. Mascuch enjoyed ice skating, and was a member of the Essex Blades Precision Skating Team well into her 70's. She liked skiing, and had a love for antique British sports cars. A kind and generous person, she will be remembered as a wonderful wife, great mother, and beloved grandmother.
Olga Mascuch is predeceased by her husband, the late Richard Mascuch. She is the loving mother of Paul Mascuch and his wife Linda of Parma, ID, and Susan Chadwick and her husband Robin of Weehawken, NJ. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Candrilli, of New Milford, NJ; nephew, Paul Candrilli, of River Edge, NJ; niece, Carla Lindsay, of Wantage, NJ; and two beloved grandchildren, Samantha Mascuch of La Jolla, CA and Bradley Mascuch of Arvada, CO.
A Celebration of Olga's life will be held at the Bradley-Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Road in Whippany, on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 1 pm. An interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Union. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, July 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in Olga's name to Smile Train, PO Box 96231, Washington, D.C. 20090.
