Dolores Skidmore Obituary
AGE: 84 • Thornhurst
Dolores Elizabeth Skidmore, 84, of Thornhurst, died Thursday, December 31 at Southern Tennessee Regional Hospital in Pulaski, TN. She was the widow of James Skidmore, who died June 3, 1984. Born in Newark NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Moyer) Klesitz. Dolores enjoyed to crochet and was like a 2nd Mom to her friends, always having an open door and treated everyone she met like her family.
Dolores is survived by her daughters: Edna Fitzgerald and her friend Jeff Perry of Pulaski, TN and Laura Stanton and her husband Wesley, Jr of Thornhurst; her sons: Joseph and his wife Vicki of Dover DE, James Jr. and his wife Rose of East Stroudsburg and Dan and his wife Diana of Dover NJ; her 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son: William and her grandchildren: Allison and Joseph.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 7 at 7:00 pm at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC 3 First St. in Spring Brook Twp to be conducted by Rev. Eric Luczak. Interment will be on Friday, January 8th in Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst Twp. Family and friends will meet at the Funeral Home at 10:30 am on Friday. Viewing will be on Thursday from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd, South Abington Township, PA 18411.
