Angelia, William, and the Simms family,
We truly appreciated Billy and Joyce as Pineywoods Beekeepers Association members and friends for many years. I thought you may like to read a letter sent to our members:
Fellow beekeepers,
It is a very sad day for our beekeeper family of members – tragically we have lost a founding family couple in Billy and Joyce Simms.
More than the hobby or work that brings us together, the caring and sharing of our lives keeps us connected. I have only known Billy and Joyce a few years compared to some, but there was never a time I didn't feel their warmth, interest and kindness.
We look forward to our monthly gatherings, but no one knows all the times in between that our members help each other, advise, befriend each other and their families. Connections go way back for some, as many in our group have forged long term friendships with Billy and Joyce.
On behalf of our association, I extend our heartfelt and deepest sympathy to the Simms family, and to the many of you who had many memorable moments with Billy and Joyce.
There is no telling how many people's lives were made brighter by knowing the kindheartedness of Billy and Joyce through their years.
In sympathy,
Mary Lou (Bess) Lusinger

Angelia, I was shocked to hear of the accident. I'm bewildered by the unexpected death of your parents and how upsetting and painful this time must be for you and your family. You must be devastated.
I will always remember meeting the two of them at Sylvia's & Marvin's about a year ago. They were so proud of you.
May the love of family and friends comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead. I can only hope that your years of happiness and your many good memories will enable you to live with this sad loss. Please know we are thinking of you and praying for you during this time of sorrow.
