To the LaBar Family, I am saddened to hear of Mr. LaBar's passing, I worked with him at the William George Co. for a short time in 2000. I was surprised when he hired me that he remembered me, because I went to school with Angela and was one of her many friends. I was saddened to hear of her passing as well. They will always be remembered for their many kindnesses and the joy they brought into the lives of everyone they met.

Gary was a pleasant person who always seemed happy and ready to joke around. I met him years ago when I was working for the Lufkin News, and he was running around with Jerry Adams, who worked at the newspaper for a while. Adams took pleasure in picking at Gary, nicknaming him "Smokestack" because of the clouds that sometimes arose from Gary's pipe. Gary would just smile and try to find a way to get Jerry back. I haven't known many people in my life who were as nice as Gary Labar. I regret having missed his services, having been out of town for my grandson's birthday.

My condolances. Gary was a great person. I had such respect for him. I worked with him for ten years and his memory was impressive. He had a great sense of humor, too. I'll miss him. My God give you comfort, peace, and rest in knowing Gary is home with the Lord.
