Funeral service for Mr. Glynn Myrlee Bryan, 73, of Nacogdoches will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Laird Funeral Home with Bro. Otis Bryan and Bro. Bill Hunter officiating. Burial will follow at Broaddus Cemetery. Mr. Bryan passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013, in Nacogdoches. He was born on Oct. 19, 1939. Glynn Myrlee Bryan was born in Nacogdoches to Jesse Lee and Mary Catherine Bryan. Myrlee grew up in Broaddus, Texas, where he graduated high school in 1957, which led him into multiple ventures over several years. Myrlee loved traveling and seeing the world while serving in the Navy. On May 23, 1970, he married Doris Marie Cedotal, and with her five children moved to Texas to begin their new lives together. After driving over a million miles across the U.S., Myrlee retired from driving over the road in 2006. He enjoyed watching the stock market and dabbled in it from time to time. He attended and had membership at Grace Baptist Church in Nacogdoches. He was a faithful supporter of the charity "Love A Child." He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and loved to converse with anyone about anything life offered. He was a lover of classical music and movies. He is survived by his brother, Jesse Eugene Bryan and wife, June; son, Kenneth Miller; daughters, Brenda Gossage and fiancé, Ray Mathews, Cindy Christian and husband, Danny, and Melissa Sheffield and husband, Wes; grandchildren, Jessica Hammerbeck and husband, Andrew, Vito Miller and wife, Sara, Joshua Cooper and wife, Alie, Brian Campbell and wife, Jessica, Jennifer Williams, Breanna Campbell, and Garyn Sheffield; great-grandchildren, Brennan Lovett, Jessika Williams, Kristin Williams, Beaux Campbell and Garrison Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Lee Bryan and Mary Catherine Bryan; wife, Doris Marie Bryan; and son, Gary Miller. Joshua Cooper, Brian Campbell, Vito Miller, Andrew Hammerbeck, Brian Derr and Michael Derr will serve as pallbearers. Wes Sheffield, Danny Christian, Ray Mathews and David Hogue will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Love a Child, Inc., P.O. Box 60063 Ft. Myers, Fla. 33906. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Laird Funeral Home. Laird Funeral Home.
