Fred Cecil Gamble, son of the late Cecil Gamble and Minnie Sparks Gamble was born on Oct. 1, 1929, in Harris County and passed away on April 1, 2014, at the Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. at the age of 84. Mr. Gamble was a supervisor at the International Paper Company and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Landmark Church in Cushing. Fred was preceded in death by his first wife, Coralyn Ann Gamble, who passed away in 1980. On March 10, 1995, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Manley Bloomfield in Dexter, Mo. Mrs. Gamble survives of their home in Farmington, Mo. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Andy Gamble of Gladewater; one daughter, Phyllis Ann Gamble of Clifton; one step-son, Lee Bloomfield of Gulf Port, Miss.; three step-daughters, Debbie Bowling of Farmington, Mo., Cathy Mathis of Talihina, Okla. and Beth Smith of Sikeston, Mo.; one brother, Frank Gamble of Deer Park; and by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. David Snelson of the Cushing Landmark Church at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, in the Nat Cemetery in Nacogdoches.
