Graveside service for Mrs. Marian Ellen "Liz" Morris, 73, of Livingston will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Davis Cemetery in Henderson with Bro. John Spurgins officiating. Mrs. Morris passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at Laird Funeral Home. Liz was born on June 19, 1940, to the late Thomas William Wright and Marian Ellen Clarke Wright, in London, England. She met David Morris in England where they were married on May 1, 1971. She was married to her loving husband for 42 wonderful years. Liz lost track of her sister, Patricia Howarth, when they moved from their hometown; about 30 years later they were reunited. She enjoyed spending quality time with her friends and family. Christmas was her special time of the year. She made all her traditional meals and decorated with Christmas decorations all throughout her lovely home. Liz also enjoyed gardening out in her flower bed, her trees and her yard. Indian jewelry and old western history were her favorite items to have and collect. Liz enjoyed meeting people. She found pleasure working with many people while working as a Red Cross volunteer. She was so special to her family. Her children and grandchildren called her "Nanny" to show the love they had for her. Spending time with them just made her days. Liz is survived by her husband, David Morris; sons, Roger Morris and wife, Patricia, Robert Morris and wife, Melissa, and David Morris; daughter, Karen Morris; brothers, Leslie Wright and Billy Wright; sister, Patricia Howarth; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
