Mrs. Margrett Marie Armstrong passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Nacogdoches, Texas, at the age of 75. Margrett was born April 10, 1939, in the Aiken Community to parents Benjamin Franklin Lowery and Frances Elizabeth (Vail) Lowery and grew up in Woden, Texas, where she had lived most of her life. She was a very sweet lady and devoted mother and grandmother to her family. A member of Woden United Pentecostal Church, Margrett loved her God and was a strong prayer warrior for her family, friends and church. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as a brother, Eddie Winfred Lowery, and a son-in-law, Boyd "Chip" Mayes. Her survivors include her daughters, Sheila Mayes of Trophy Club, Texas; Deanna Phillips and husband, William, of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Lesa Rickenbacker and husband Dustin of Nacogdoches, Texas; granddaughters, Madalynn Morton and Sadie Morton; grandsons, Mason Morton, Gunner Rickenbacker and Cutter Rickenbacker; and nephews, Eddie Lowery and Dale Lowery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors. Graveside rites will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Simpson Campground Cemetery, located on County Road 411 in Woden with Bro. Barry Rankin and Bro. Garrel Faulkner officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Steve Williams, Hunter Williams, Devin Williams, William Phillips and Dustin Rickenbacker. An honorary pallbearer will be Mason Morton.
