Services for Ms. Mary Louise Tindall, 86, of Nacogdoches will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2014, at Laird Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Tyre officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Ms. Tindall passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014, in Nacogdoches. Mary was born in Appleby on Oct. 13, 1927, to the late Charles Nolan McLain and Charcilaine Mattie Jamison. She grew up in Appleby and attended school up to the 8th grade. Mary met the love of her life, Mr. Ellis Hannon Tindall, while she worked downtown Nacogdoches, as a car hop. They were happily married on April 14, 1951. Mary loved music; she would travel to Branson for the music and the shows that Branson would offer. She also enjoyed sightseeing, playing 42 with friends and family, sewing, and she loved to take care of her African violet flowers. Mary enjoyed many things but the most important thing she enjoyed and loved to do was to spend time with her family. Her grandchildren and her beloved great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mary was a very hard working woman and a very good mother. She worked at the Nacogdoches Senior Center for about five years. She showed and shared her love and belief in Jesus Christ by being a loyal member of Westside Baptist Church in Nacogdoches. Mary is survived by her sons, Buddy Parrott and Hannon Tindall and wife, Kathy; daughters, Jo Ann Restin and Diane Biggs and husband, Billy; sisters, Shirley Robins and Mary Ann McLain; grandchildren, Kelly Jennings, Charlie Bowman, Michelle Bowman, Rodney Robison, Randy Robison, Michael Hetrick and Justin Tindall; and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Ellis Hannon Tindall; sisters, Bertha Rogers, Kathryn Hobbs and Mildred Bush; and brother, Junior McLain. Pallbearers will be Justin Tindall, Rodney Robison, Randy Robison, Jeremy Robison, Harvey Hamby and Jason Heflin. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. William E. Furniss and staff, the Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital ICU unit, Barbara Looney, Jackie Morrison, Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital 3rd Tucker unit, the Lexington Place Nursing Home staff and The Hospice of East Texas staff. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2014, at the funeral home. Laird Funeral Home.
