Funeral service for Reba Louise Rawlinson Barnes, 86, of Pasadena will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, in the Landmark Baptist Church with the Rev. Chester Haynes officiating. Burial will be held in the McKnight Cemetery under the direction of Dickie Allen Funeral Directors. Mrs. Barnes entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 26, in Pasadena. She was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Glen Fawn, Texas to Roy and Lula Bass Rawlinson. She was raised in Cushing and graduated from Cushing High School in 1945. She married Buford Barnes in 1950 and moved to Pasadena, where she raised her children and was a member of the Richey Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Barnes worked for the City of Pasadena Water Department and the University of Houston Library. Upon retirement, Louise and Buford returned to live in Cushing where they became members of Landmark Baptist Church. In 2011, she returned to Pasadena to be closer to her children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Buford Barnes and son, Brent Keith Barnes. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Darwin and Diane Barnes of Pasadena; daughter, Regina Barnes of Pasadena; daughter-in-law, Debbie Barnes of Baytown; sister, Joyce Rawlinson Little of Anaheim, Calif.; grandchildren, Bradley Barnes and wife, Jennifer, Wesley Barnes and wife, Sara, and Maria Heaton and husband, Drew; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Daniel and Audrey; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at the Dickie Allen Funeral Home in Cushing. Dickie Allen Funeral Home.
