A home-going celebration in honor of Ms. Lola Curl will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Zion Hill First Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Curl officiating. Burial will be in Mount Gillion Cemetery. Ms. Lola Curl was born October 19, 1934, in Nacogdoches County to Mr. Mitch and Mrs. Ova White Curl. On April 25, 2010, God called Ms. Lola Curl home at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Verma Nell Coleman (Rayford) of Lufkin, Texas; sons, Charles Lee Fields, George Ray Fields Sr. (Joie) and Michael Wren Topps (Helen) of Nacogdoches, Texas; sisters, Eva Roberts of Los Angeles, California, Nora Walker of Tacoma, Washington, Cora Handy (Mossy) of Nacogdoches, Texas, Dorothy Milner Carson (LeMar) of California, Carolyn Hurd (James) and Ira Nell Maxie of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Claude L. Curl (Velma) of Los Angeles, California, Don L. Curl (Sylvester) of Carson, California, Dr. Billy Curl (Mary) of Inglewood, California, and Alford Curl of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Kenneth Ananias Fields, Byron Ray Coleman, Charles Wright McGowan, Charles Fields Jr., Roxanne Wren, Schondra Fields, George Ray Fields Jr. and Hollie Topps; great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. Friday April 30, 2010, followed by a wake from 6 until 8 p.m. Final and sacred services are entrusted to the professionals of Sid Roberts Funeral Home Inc.
