Bartoletto, A.J., “Bart”; We say goodbye to our husband, dad, grandfather, friend and colleague. He passed away at home Tuesday morning March 3, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was 87 years old and had lived a very full and rich life. Bart moved his family to Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in 1970 when he founded Temperform Corporation. He led this successful corporation up until his death. Bart was a generous supporter of Universities and Medical establishments. He was recognized by his alma mater, Norwich University, with an honorary Ph.D. in 2008. Bart was a world traveler, gourmet chef and wine connoisseur. He enjoyed listening to classical music, spending time with his family, watching westerns and he had a passion for gardening. Bart had been married to and is survived by the love of his life, Anne Marie Jette, for 62 years. He is also survived by his three loving daughters, Lisa Bartoletto (David McCarron), Laurie Simons Divine (David Divine), Nancy Jesup Bartoletto, and his adored grandchildren: Daniel, Matthew, Sarah, Julia and Alexis. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter Donna Bartoletto who died in 1986. Bart made the world a better place. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to University of Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center, 2101 Commonwealth Blvd. Suite D, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Brown, Jane, Ingrid, Erickson, age 72, passed away on March 1, 2015. Ms. Brown was a graduate of Dondero High School, class of 1960. She graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s of arts degree in 1964 then later, went on to receive her master’s of education in 1979. Also, held a master’s of music from U of M. Retired school teacher of Birmingham Public Schools. Until recently, active member and flutist of Birmingham Concert Band. She is the granddaughter of Wm. O. Hullinger, former owner of what was originally The Royal Oak Weekly Tribune, now, called The Daily Tribune. Both of Jane’s parents were former teachers in Royal Oak School District. Beloved mother of Ingrid L. (Ray Andresen), Richard A. and Toby S. (Brooks) Hopkins. Dear sister of John A. (Martena) and James W. (Evelyn) Erickson. Loving stepgrandmother of Samantha Jo and James M. Andresen. Memorial gathering to be held March 7, 2015 from 3 until 5 p.m. Memorial service and dinner served thereafter at Royal Oak Elks Lodge, 2401 E. 4th St., Royal Oak. BUFFINGTON, JILL (nee RICHARDS), age 90, died on February 1, 2015. She was born in London England in 1924. During WWII, she was introduced to an American soldier, Charles E. Buffington who was stationed in England. Jill and Charles were married in England in September 1944. She later traveled by ship to the United States and arrived in Philadelphia on October 13, 1945. She and Charles then began their married life in Texas. They were married until Charles’ death in 1986. She is survived by three children, Gordon (Judy), Alice (Dan) and David (Rebecca); and two grandchildren, Brandon and Elise. Jill moved from Texas to Michigan in 2000 and became very active at Grace Episcopal Church in Mount Clemens, where she formed many wonderful friendships. Funeral services will be at Grace Episcopal Church, 155 South Main, Mount Clemens at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Donations can be made to Grace Episcopal Church Soup Kitchen or the Southern Poverty Law Center.
