GARRETT, DALE EDWARD Age 49, of Berkley, Michigan died tragically in a plane crash in Minnesota on November 1, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife, Nathalie; his daughter, Grace (nine); his son, Colin (eight); his mother, Janet; his sister, Ann Sobey; and his faithful dog, Bacchus. Dale's father, Joel, also died in the plane crash. Dale was a graduate of Detroit Country Day School class of 1982, Vanderbilt University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He was employed by his family owned business, Garrett Associates/Ladds Inc. Dale treasured his time with his family. He and his wife shared a passion for travel and gastronomy. He also enjoyed rugby with the Detroit Tradesmen Rugby Football Club. His other hobbies were numerous recreational activities with his children, playing ice hockey, hunting, fishing and flying. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Beverly Hills, Mich. Family will receive friends Wednesday (today) 3-8 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd.
