Beloved husband of the late Emily, to whom he was married for 62 years; dear father of Mary Chittick, Patricia (Clarke) Rieck, Edgar (Cecelia) Tarchalski, Nancy (Sonny) Grappin and Robert (Denise) Tarchalski; dear brother of Joseph Tarchalski (the late Esther); beloved grandfather of John Chittick, Richard (Melissa) Chittick, Michael (Kristine) Rieck, Cheryl Klippel, Kerri Rieck, Erin (Joseph) Catanzarite, Christopher Grappin, Jennifer (Rick) Koppin, Peter Pakorra, and Ryan Tarchalski. Also cherished by 16 great grandchildren. Mr. Tarchalski owned and operated Casper and Sons Nursery and was employed at General Motors Fisher Body Division for 43 years. He was long time member of St. Perpetua Catholic Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He loved working his ten acres on his Ford tractor. The Funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 24, 2014, 11 a.m. at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 134 Airport Road, Waterford. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the RIVERSIDE CHAPEL, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, and at the Church on Monday 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Celebrant Father Richard S. Rakoczy. Rite of Committal Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Waterford Youth Assistance or to the Waterford Foundation.
