Paramo, Manuel “Manny”; age 85; of Oxford. Loving husband of Amelia for 60 years; wonderful father of Denise (Michael) Sullivan, Kim (John) Wolfrum, Sylvana (Christian) Flores, and Jacqueline Paramo; beloved Papa of 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother of Pauline (John) Zuniga, the late Phillip (Juanita) Paramo, Marceline Garcia, Mary Nerio, James (Lupe) Paramo, and Jesse Paramo. Manny retired from General Motors. He owned and operated Paramo’s Barber Shop in Pontiac for many years. Manny was a boxer, artist, and he enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was larger than life to all who knew him and will be deeply missed. Funeral Mass Saturday, April 5, 2014, 10 a.m. with a 9:30 a.m. In State at Christ the Redeemer Church, 2700 Waldon Rd., Lake Orion. The family will receive friends Friday 2 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.
