Garnette D. Timmreck

Obituary Condolences

Garnette D. Timmreck, formerly of Royal Oak, Michigan, completed her long goodbye to this world at the age of 93 on February 2, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Timmreck was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Carl Timmreck, along with brothers James Ray, Charles Ray, Carl Ray and sister Martha Basso. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Jennifer Timmreck, of Manakin Sabot, Virginia; daughter, Karen T. Esquibel of Denver, Colorado; granddaughter, Emily Timmreck of Alexandria, Virginia; grandson Mark Timmreck of Virginia Beach, Virginia, along with sisters, Ann Urso, Boyce Collins, Shirley Darnell; brother, Donald Ray, and many nieces and nephews. Our mother had a long and productive career at Henry Ford Hospital where her colleagues in the dietary department held her in high esteem. Following her retirement in 1986, she enjoyed tending to the many beautiful flowers in her backyard, doting on her grandchildren, and volunteering at the Mahany/Meininger Senior Center in Royal Oak. As mom's memory began to suffer, she moved to Denver, Colorado in 2007 where she enjoyed loving support from daughter, Karen, in her declining years. As the bedrock of the family, mom was the kind of person who gave much to many and requested little in return. Those who wish to make a contribution in our mother's memory are encouraged to consider their local or state or the Mahany/Meininger Senior Center at 3500 Marais Avenue, Royal Oak, Michigan 48073.
