Joanne G. Less

Joanne G. Less, age 82, passed away September 23, 2011 in Crittenton Hospital after a short illness. She was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. Miss Less, as she was known to two generations of students at Kimball High School in Royal Oak, was one of the teachers who was at Kimball when it opened in 1956. "She was the tough English teacher you hated while in her Advanced Composition class, and the teacher you appreciated every time you had to write something for the rest of your life," said her attorney and former student, Michael Hutson. She loved her church and her Chow dogs. She is survived by four nephews and close friends. Joanne was laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo, Ohio. A.J. Desmond & Sons, (248) 362-2500.
