Owen Fite Obituary
Owen Fite, died this past week unexpectedly to pancreatic cancer. Owen, a 1967 Berkley High graduate, was founder and owner of Saer Model & Pattern and later, Nightwatch Recording. Performing on the "chitarra battente", he was an accomplished internationally recognized musician who lived and loved renaissance music. He formed The New World Renaissance Band and was active in renaissance fairs throughout the country. Owen was instrumental in uncovering, arranging and recording many of the greatest hits of the 12th thru 16th centuries. He was a linguist, performing regularly in ten languages. To plagiarize one of his recordings, Owen "lived the legend". He was the ultimate troubadour and we are grieved to "bid the Bard" a final farewell! Owen is survived by his wife, Paula; sons, Jamin and Barak, all of Berkley; brother, Norman and nephew, Owen,of Chandler, Ariz.
