Rose B. Rohmer Obituary
ROHMER, ROSE B., age 93, passed away comfortably at home on July 1, 2014. She was born in Yugoslavia, then came to the United States in October of 1936 at the age of 16. She met her loving husband, John Rohmer in January of 1942 and the two were married September 5, 1942. Rose enjoyed people and was a very hard worker throughout her life. She was a wonderful cook and baker. Her German Christmas cookies were enjoyed by all her family and friends. She was an avid bowler, liked going to casinos, playing cards and dice with family and friends. She also loved gardening. The world was a better place because she was in it. Now she will be with the Lord and John, the love of her life. She is the loving mother of Rose Marie (the late Harry) Goff and John M. (the late Iris) Rohmer. Proud grandmother of Kathy Radloff, Gary Schneider, Jennifer Sue (Jaime) Silvernail, Kelly (Jamie) Brault, Karyn Rohmer and Michael (Michele) Rohmer. Great-grandmother of Jennifer Rose, Ashley, Samantha, Cameron, Ryan, Tyler, Michael, Kaitlyn, MacKenzie, Sam, Lucas, Isaac, Brianna and Bentley. Rose will be missed by her faithful cat, Tommy. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Rose’s family would like to recognize her loving caregivers Pat and Denise. Visitation Friday 3-9 p.m. with 7 p.m. Rosary at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Funeral Saturday Instate 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market St at New St (Mount Clemens) until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
