Jack Walter Brickel Obituary
Brickel, Jack Walter, age 87, of Richmond Township, Michigan, died August 22, 2014. He was born January 13,1927 in Saginaw Michigan to the late Charles and Hilda Brickel. He married Mary Louise Squanda on September 11,1947 in Saginaw, Michigan. Mr. Brickel owned and operated Brencal Contractors, Inc., for over 35 years, retiring in 1997. He was a University of Michigan Alumni and avid fan. He was an active member of St. Augustine Catholic Parish of Richmond, Michigan. He was a long time farmer, hunter and fisherman. He was a WWII naval veteran. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mary Louise (Mary Lou, Mitz) of Richmond, Mich.; daughters, Lisbeth (Marvin) Yaek of Richmond, Mich., Barbara Grob of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Alexia (Mark) Ottenbacher of Lenox, Mich.; sons, Steven Brickel, Charles (Cynthia) Brickel, Brian (Mary) Brickel, and Joseph (Christine) Brickel of Richmond, MI. His family honors the memory of Jack and invites you to visit and share memories Sunday and Monday 2-8 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, with scripture services at 7 p.m. Monday. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond with 9:30 a.m. visiting at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Richmond.
