BARTLETT, FRANK, a Royal Oak resident for many years, passed away on April 24 at McLaren Lapeer Hospital. He recently resided at Stonegate Health Campus in Lapeer. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts on July 29, 1927, he was the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Bartlett. Survivors include two daughters, Robin Wayco (Paul) and Donna Bennett (Bruce); granddaughters, Nicole (Kenny), Samantha (Mike), and Marjorie; grandsons, Sean and Gregory (Natalie); and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Hartnell Bartlett (Nancy) of Massachusetts, several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, whom he married in Newton, Massachusetts on June 25, 1950. Frank, was a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy for 1 ½ years. He enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, gardening, model trains, reading, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frank was Organist and Choir Director for over 18 ½ years at the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak. He retired in July 1991, after serving churches for over 50 years in New England, Lansing and Royal Oak. Since his retirement he was in great demand as a substitute organist in area churches. He was member of the First Congregational Church of Royal Oak, where he had been a deacon for 6 years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 1314 Northwood Boulevard, Royal Oak with the Reverend John Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. Cremation has taken place.
