CONNER, ALGER V.; of Byron Center, formerly of Rochester Hills; age 90; June 1, 2014. Preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Blanch Conner and his loving wife of 65 years, Amy (Amelita Lodge Conner); dearest father of Linda (John) Moczerad of Byron Center and Amy (Timothy) Williams of Whitefish Montana; loving grandfather of Kyle (Joelle) Baldwin and Hillary (William) Campbell; great grandfather of Eli and Noah Baldwin and Gavin Campbell. Alger was a proud W.W.II veteran, All-State in football at Pontiac High School, and played varsity football for Michigan State University. He distinguished himself in labor relations and as Personnel Director at Fisher Body Pontiac, taught economics at Walsh College, and retired as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. A private family committal service will take at St. Mary Visitation Cemetery.
