Tom was my mother's attorney. He was a man of honor! He was also beyond honest, and a kind, gentle person. We were privileged to know him through my mom and with various meetings with him after her death. Our heartfelt condolences to his family!

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I had the great pleasure to work for Tom at Dickinson Wright and later to share office space with him. He was a fine individual and attorney. We enjoyed discussing his and my mother's love of Elvis. My deepest sympathy to his entire family..

We regret we only had the pleasure being with Tom on a few occasions and found him to be a wonderful person. He was very passionate about his love for his sister, Jane, and the rest of his family. Jane, my best friend for 50 years, loved her brother with all her heart and will miss him so very much. It is hard to find the right words at a time like this...after 50 years, I think sometimes words are not needed. It is the love in the heart that knows what is felt.

Our sincere condolences to Tom's wife, Pete, and to Dale Ann and Dave. Your Tom will be so missed, especially the sound of his strong, resounding, and passionate voice. He had such a zest for life and that certainly came through loud and clear whenever you were near him. One came away from those times with him feeling invigorated and more knowledgable than before. He was a gem!

Our love and prayers for all,

Richard & Joanne Ambs

Tom Owen was thoughtful and intelligent, always wearing a sense of fortitude in his quiet glances. He was dapper and unassuming, and could recite poems by Poe, memorized from his boyhood memories. You knew when he walked into a room, not from his words (with those, he could be few) but from his regal presence. Yet, it was never beneath him to do the dishes, or cuddle with a grandchild when needed. He seemed the happiest when he was snapping away pictures of all the children and grandchildren, focusing his keen eyes on preserving memories.
He was a prince among men, with a slightly unhealthy, yet adorable, obsession with Elvis Presley. He contained a wealth of knowledge in so many varied subjects, making him a true renaissance man, and a person to go to for advice or opinions.

Tom was a great man, and a good man, and not only that, but a gentleman, in a day when gentlemen can be difficult to find. A man such as him will grace this world nevermore; No, they don't make them like Tom anymore.
We will all miss Tom's kind eyes, thoughtful ways, and gentle demeanor.

I am so saddened to hear of Uncle Tom's passing and reach out in love and prayers to all of the family, especially his beloved best friend and wife, Pete. My most sincere condolences to you all. I have many very fond memories of Uncle Tom growing up.....one of them was learning to "gamble" with him - what a hoot he was with a young girl!!! And he made me "take" the money when he lost.....

Tom's wonderful persona on this earth is gone much too soon. We didn't see him enough, but when we did it was always fun to share his wit, intelligence, political acumen and outstanding positive attitude. Ed and Geri Burger
