Adolph "Junior" Andrus, Jr.

PORT BARRE - Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Adolph Andrus, Jr., age 81, who passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. at his residence in Port Barre.

Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Picard, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Andrus was a native and current resident of Port Barre and lived most of his life in St. Bernard Parish. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum with 30 years of service. Mr. Andrus' hobbies included trawling and hunting.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Lou Vidrine Andrus; two sons, Kenny Andrus, Sr. and his wife, Sylvia, of Covington and Clarence J. Andrus of Port Barre; three daughters, Debra Martinez and her husband, Kenneth, of St. Bernard Parish, Bonnie Bowers of Slidell, and Jenifer Rebouche and her husband, Tony, of St. Bernard Parish; one son-in-law, Edward Stelly of Port Barre; two brothers, Earl Fisette and Lee Fisette and his wife, Susie, all of Port Barre; three sisters, Barbara Fisette LaFleur and her husband, Calvin, Cora Fisette Morris and her husband, William, all of Opelousas and Susie Fisette Quebedeaux and her husband, Albert, of Leonville; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Andrus, Sr. and Aline LaHaye Fisette; one daughter, Pat Stelly; three brothers, Donald Fisette, Lionel Fisette, and John Andrus; and one sister, Merle Dean David.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home by Rev. Daniel Picard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Monday.
