GLENMORA, LA - Funeral services for Leroy Marshall Stewart will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in the Church of Christ of Glenmora with Brother Justin officiating. Committal services will follow in the Pratt Cemetery of Clearwater under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale. Leroy, 84, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 9, 2014 in his residence. He was born August 1, 1929 to the union of Marshall Stewart and Nettie Chaddrick Stewart in Turkey Creek. He retired after 42 years of working with the Southern Pacific Railroad which he worked as a welder. He serviced in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a loving He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Mervel Fontenot Stewart; two sons, Michael Stewart and Chris Stewart; daughter, Kay Stewart Weber; and brother, Vernon Stewart.

He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, his wife of 17 years, Eva Gillette Stewart of Glenmora; two sons, David Stewart, wife, Debbie of Lake Charles and Dana Stewart, wife, Dadra of Breaux Bridge; daughter, Lori Stewart Chelette, husband, Robert of Gonzales; son-in-law, Earl Weber of Henderson; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; stepson, Mike Gillette, wife, Rita of Glenmora; two stepdaughters, Donna Gillette Willis, husband, Eddie of Glenmora and Kelly Gillette Franklin, husband, Glen of Alexandria; 10 step grandchildren; 36 step great grandchildren; one brother, Everett Stewart of Nederland, Texas; four sisters, Marie Sharp, Evelyn Messer and Catherine Foreman, all of Turkey Creek; and Elsie Goss of Vidor, Texas; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Cody Chelette, Sonny Weber, Ryan Brown, Joey Gillette, Donnie Lowe, and Corey LeBlanc. Visitation will be Monday, February 10, 2014 from 5 p.m. until time of service, Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. in the church.
