Mary Lou Andrus
PORT BARRE - Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre for Mary Lou Andrus, age 81, the former Mary Lou Vidrine, who passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 10:33 a.m. at her residence in Port Barre.
Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Port Barre. The Rev. Daniel Picard, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Andrus was a native of Washington and a resident of St. Bernard parish for most of her life. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Port Barre.
Survivors include two sons, Kenny Andrus, Sr. and his wife, Sylvia, of Covington and Clarence J. Andrus of Port Barre; three daughters, Debra Martinez and her husband, Kenneth, of St. Bernard Parish, Bonnie Bowers of Slidell and Jenifer Rebouche and her husband, Tony, of St. Bernard Parish; two brothers, Leroy Vidrine and his wife, Desi, of Houston, TX; one sister, Dean Wilson of Washington; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty three years, Adolph Andrus; her parents, Ned Vidrine and the former Beatrice Ardoin; one daughter, Pat Stelly; one brother, Pershing Vidrine; and one sister, Betty Fontenot.
A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Friday until service time on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Shaun Andrus, Kenneth Andrus, Alvin Hargis, Kenny Martinez, Sr., Albert Quebedeaux and Brad Martinez.
