Paul Biagas(1945 - 2010)

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in Lawtell for Paul Rodney Biagas, age 65, who passed away Thursday, November 17, 2010 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen, TX.
Interment will be in Holy Family Church Cemetery. The Rev. Denis Osuagwu, pastor of Holy Family Church of Lawtell, will officiate at the services.
Musical selections will be provided by Rita Shakesnider, accompanied by Linton Broussard on the organ.
Mr. Biagas was a native of St. Landry Parish. From the time he was seventeen years old, he lived in Texas and was a self employed truck driver.
Survivors include his mother, the former Mary Gertrude James of Opelousas; four brothers, Joseph Ronald Biagas and his wife, Helen, of Lafayette, James Rickey Biagas of Opelousas, Manuel Matthew Biagas and his wife, Lisa, of New Jersey, Gregory Biagas of Opelousas; four sisters, Willie Mae Guillory and her husband, Harold, of Opelousas, Mary Cornelis LeDee and her husband, Jacob, of Lafayette, Veralyn Guillory and her husband, Myron, of Church Point, and Peggy Ann Guillory of Arlington, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul W. Biagas; his paternal grandparents, Theodore Biagas and Celeste Comeaux Biagas; and his maternal grandparents, Willie James and Louise Guilbeaux James; one brother in law, Gerald Guillory; and his godparents, Leo Thibodeaux and Alma Bihm-Green.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Church until service time in Holy Family Church Saturday.
