Robert Elliott

FRILOT COVE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne Mission Chapel in Frilot Cove for Robert Elliott, age 85, who passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 at 2:25 p.m. at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas.

Interment will be in St. Anne Mission Chapel Cemetery in Frilot Cove. The Rev. Jude Mary Obiechina, CMF, pastor of St. Anne Mission Chapel in Frilot Cove, will officiate at the services.

Mr. Elliott was a native and lifelong resident of Frilot Cove, LA. He was previously employed by Breaux Masonry for over thirty years. He was a parishioner of St. Anne Mission Chapel in Frilot Cove. Mr. Elliott was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in the Asiatic Pacific. He was a member of Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Local 6. Mr. Elliott was also a member of the American Legion Post in Opelousas.

Survivors include one son, Sherman Elliott and his wife, Jeannine, of Opelousas; one daughter, Marsha Villery and her husband, Craig, of Opelousas; two grandchildren, Kaelyn Elliott and Scott Villery; two brothers, Calvin Elliott and his wife, Isabelle, and Errol Elliott and his wife, Jo Ann, all of Frilot Cove; and four sisters, Audry Olivier and her husband, Joe, Nathalie Elliott, Constance Lewis, all of Frilot Cove and Liz Degroot and her husband, Ron, of Orange, CA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Albertha Frilot Elliott; his parents, Anthony Webster Elliott and the former Anita Lemelle; and one brother, Cyrus Elliott.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Anne Mission Chapel in Frilot Cove.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne Mission Chapel in Frilot Cove until service time on Saturday at St. Anne Mission Chapel in Frilot Cove.

Pallbearers will be Sherman Elliott, Glenn Frilot, Antoine Frilot, Ricky Elliott, Clyde Olivier and Michael Ledet.
